LED Charlieplexed Matrix - 9x16 LEDs - Red

The Adafruit 9×16 Charlieplexed LED Matrix is a bare LED grid designed to be used with the IS31FL3731 Charlieplexed PWM LED Matrix Driver.

This matrix contains 144 LEDs arranged in a 9×16 layout using a charlieplexed configuration, allowing a large number of LEDs to be controlled with relatively few pins when paired with the correct driver. It is intended specifically for use with the Adafruit IS31FL3731 driver board, which handles the multiplexing, current control, and PWM brightness control required to operate the matrix.

This board does not include any resistors or driver circuitry, so it cannot be used on its own. Instead, it provides a compact LED array ready to be driven by the matching controller, making it suitable for custom displays, animations, or indicator panels once integrated into a complete system.

This is our red version. We have the yellow version available too!

Revision History

• As of November 2022 – we've updated this PCB with Adafruit Pinguin to make a lovely and legible silkscreen - you may get the new PCB or the older version with vector fonts - both are identical other than the fancy silkscreen.
