Raspberry Pi Debug Clip - Self-Solder Kit [Discontinued]

The Ryantek Debug Clip is similar to common UART Debug cables providing the same serial terminal when used with Raspberry Pi OS. This product comes as a kit of parts that require soldering/assembly.

One of the biggest advantages of using this instead of a cable is that the wiring is already done for you providing less chance of causing any issues to your Raspberry Pi.

You are also able to then stack on-top other Raspberry Pi add-on's including HATs. Simply push the debug clip onto your Raspberry Pi's GPIO pins and then push a HAT or another add-on on top.

Only requiring the first 26 pins the debug clip is compatible with all Raspberry Pi Models (excluding compute). It actually only then requires the two UART pins to be available for use!

The serial terminal provided is a full Linux terminal allowing you to do tasks such as setting up a wi-fi connection, fixing code on a headless device or even program full programs.

The debug clip can either power your Raspberry Pi via the USB port on your computer (not suggested for Raspberry Pi 4/3B+) or if you remove the jumper you can then power the Pi from another method such as an external power supply or batteries.

This product comes as a kit of components that require soldering/assembly. USB Cable not included. The original soldering instructions are no longer available, however the product image (and images/guidance in the below links) should be enough to go on.
