Mini Base Board (A) for Raspberry Pi CM5

Mini Base Board (A) for Raspberry Pi CM5

The Waveshare Mini Base Board (A) is an expansion board for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (CM5) that offers a range of features packed onto a compact carrier, allowing extensive prototyping or general breakout usage of your CM5.

Key features include 2x USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, a full-size HDMI port, a second HDMI port via FFC, Gigabit Ethernet, RTC battery holder and PCI-e interface. MIPI DSI and CSI connectors enable display and camera integration, while the MicroSD card slot provides flexible storage/boot options.

Power is supplied via USB-C (we recommend the Raspberry Pi 27W PSU), with a fan header for cooling and mounting holes for installation.

Compute Module 5 not included.

What's Onboard?

  1. CM5 socket: Suitable for all variants of Compute Module 5
  2. 40-pin GPIO header: For connecting various HAT / HAT+ modules
  3. Power input/Programming: requires a 5V / 5A USB-C power supply (or used for eMMC burning)
  4. PCIe interface: For connecting various PCIe expansion boards
  5. PSW Power button: Long press to force power off, short press to soft power off or on
  6. STAT LED: Dual-colour status LED
  7. BOOT button: Press before powering on and release after powering on to enter the burning mode
